Some collectors are interested in collecting First Day Covers (FDCs). A First Day Cover includes the envelope, the stamp and the postmark which dated on the first day that the stamp was released.  Remember the value of a FDC is in the combination of all three elements; therefore, you should never remove a stamp from a FDC.
